Grace University’s new executive director of athletics and athletic development has hit the bases running and is already serving the community in his first days in his new hometown.
Thaddis Bosley Jr., who is helping architect the expansion of Grace University athletics and leading the new Grace University baseball team, is using his love for Christ and skill at baseball during Fellowship of Christian Athlete outreach events held prior to the NCAA College World Series held annually in Omaha.
During the CWS Baseball Clinic for youth ages 6 to 14, Bosley shared his baseball and leadership talents. Bosley brings to Omaha decades of experience playing and coaching at the collegiate and major league levels.
“Baseball skill has its place,” said Bosley. “But what I want these young players to learn is that it takes character determination, perseverance, and confidence in your God given gifts and talent to be a truly great player.”
Bosley also shared a message of prayer, faith, and the importance of living in the moment during the CWS Baseball Breakfast for baseball enthusiasts of all ages. During his talk, Bosley shared how God used major life experiences to teach him who he is in Christ and to grab hold of the opportunities God has set before him.
“Each day I wake up, I thank God with all of my heart for the opportunity to breathe the breath of life. With each moment we have been given, we do not know, moment by moment, whose life we are going to effect,” said Bosley during the breakfast.
Grace University, located in Omaha, Neb., is a regionally accredited, private Christian university with more than 40 diverse undergraduate, graduate and adult degree completion programs including education, business, psychology, music, nursing and Christian ministries.
